Before embarking on pelvic rehabilitation, it is important that you understand the importance of your role in the success of the process. You are in control of the course, progression and evolution of the treatment. Although the help of a health care professional is sometimes recommended, dilators can be used by yourself or with the help of your partner.

Vaginal dilators work the muscles of the pelvic floor which, over time, will relieve pain associated with vaginal problems such as:
- vaginismus;
- vulvodynia, vestibulodynia and other dyspareunia;
- vaginal stenosis;
- after chemotherapy / radiotherapy;
- after a difficult menopause;
- vaginal agenesis and MRKH syndrome.
Note that medical or therapeutic treatment is sometimes necessary.
Insertion
When embarking on exercise, it is important to be in a relaxed state of mind. Taking a bath, listening to relaxation music or preheating the room can promote this state of relaxation. Choose a quiet place, where you will not be disturbed. For maximum comfort, warm the dilator beforehand with hot water. If desired, use plenty of lubricant on the dilator and at the entrance of the vagina to facilitate insertion and to avoid irritation. Any posture is good when using dilators. You can be lying on your back, sitting with your legs folded or standing, bending your knees slightly, it's a matter of personal comfort.
Once the dilator is inserted, wait for your vagina to get used to its presence before making a movement. Take a deep breath and relax. As insertion becomes easier, you can massage the entrance to the vagina, making slight rotations, then increasing the back and forth movements from right to left. To ensure better results and to avoid any worsening, it is important to progress at your own pace and start each session in a complete state of relaxation.
When you are done, gently remove the dilator. If pain occurs, stop, breathe calmly, then cough.
When you feel ready to go to a larger size, it is important to start the session with the previous dilator, the one with which you did not feel discomfort. Thus, your vagina will already be relaxed when you pass a larger diameter.
How to Use
The results of using dilators vary from woman to woman. You choose when you want to start, how often and for how long. However, note that persistence and regular exercise are key assets in vaginal rehabilitation. Thus, the higher the frequency of the exercises, the faster the healing will take place. Daily exercises are preferred. On the other hand, if the conditions are not met for the use of dilators, these can be used 2 or 3 times a week. To avoid stress associated with use, it is important to be comfortable with the frequency of the exercises.
There is no predetermined duration for the use of a dilator. Each woman must follow her rhythm. It is normal to feel a slight tingling sensation when switching to a larger diameter. This sensation should diminish and then disappear during use. If not, return to the smaller dilator may be necessary. It is important that the process is done gradually, at the risk of worsening the dysfunction.

Warranty

What cancels a Warranty?

If you are located outside the Outaouais, contact us at 1-866-243-9919 from Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm.
We will help you in the verification of your accessory, then we can guide you in the procedures to follow for the replacement of it. Take note that the delivery is at your expense.

When the accessory is guaranteed with the manufacturer you must make sure you have the proof of purchase and the original contents of the box.

Lost the proof of purchase?
Unfortunately, although we keep our proof of purchases, they are stored and sealed every month. We are therefore unable to find our customer’s bills for cost and time, so it is the customers' responsibility to keep all receipts.

All our products are sold with a 10-day guarantee on the manufacture.
